Two Ghanaian Rivals Die Over Man

Two Ghanaian ladies, Monica Owusu and Elizabeth, died yesterday in the Eastern Region of Ghana over an alleged cheating partner.

According to Daily Guide Ghana, Elizabeth lives with the unidentified man who is a galamsey (illegal mining) operator. She left to visit her mother for sometime. Upon her return, she found another lady (Monica) on her boyfriend's bed sleeping. She gently got a container full of fuel , poured it on Monica and set her on fire.

78-year-old Man Commits Suicide In Kano

According to Vanguard.......

It was a tragic end for a 78-year-old man, identified by police as Hassan Chiroma, when he slit his own throat at the city abattoir, Kano, yesterday.The incident which sent shock waves across city dwellers, had set tongues wagging over what could have led the septuagenarian to take his life.Eyewitness said the man was earlier sighted at blacksmith section of the market around midday where he allegedly purchased a knife which he used to commit suicide.

Protesters Shut-Down PH Over The Arrest Of Director Of Biafra Radio

During a two-week observation by PUNCH Metro, it was discovered that pregnant women, patients and visitors to the hospital ease themselves on the premises of the hospital.Some of the patients and visitors, who spoke with our correspondent, blamed the situation on the hospital management’s failure to provide toilets.They lamented that if nothing was done to address the challenge on time, an epidemic could break out.A visitor, Mrs. Tolulope Adeniyi, said she came to the hospital to look after a sick relative who was on admission in the hospital.

El-Rufai To Arrest, Prosecute Parents Of Out-Of-School Children

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai on Saturday said his government would soon commence the arrest and prosecution of parents who allow their children to engage in street trading rather than being in school.

The governor said the arrests would take effect once the full implementation of the free primary and secondary education policy in the state takes effect.

Fake Doctor Defrauds Students In Ghana

A 45-year-old man has been arrested in Ghana for allegedly swindling students in Ghana. The self-styled 'doctor' was accused of falsifying results of West African Senior School Certificate Examination results to get the students into higher institutions of learning.

'Dr.' Sam Caesar Twuson, through his firm- Ash to Gold Company Limited, promises the students admission and charges them between GH 1,500 cedis and GH 7,000 cedis.
