Lady Gaga and Her Dog Are Launching a Puppy Line

While Mother Monster's( i.e Lady G)  pooch is really good at posing for adorable photos, she's been itching to do more with her life. As a result, Asia is... creating a puppy line. OK, Lady Gaga is the one who's probably doing most of the work, but that didn't stop the pop star from making the announcement on Instagram from the perspective of her canine child.

Clearly, little Asia knows dogs like. "I get hooked up with the finest in puppy products, so I really have a knack for what’s quality. My vision is to find creative & functional ways for pets and their owners to bond!" wrote the pooch. Nothing like a dog with a vision, right?

Mariah Carey Slams 'American Idol': 'Worst Experience of My Life'

If American Idol is planning on bringing back former hosts for the series finale, they can count Mariah Carey out!
The 45-year-old pop icon absolutely torched the Fox reality competition show while appearing on Australian radio program, Kyle and Jackie O.
Asked if she'd potentially return for the show's final season Mariah responded bluntly, "Hell no. Absolutely not," continuing, "That was the worst experience of my life."
The pop star then suggested that her highly-publicized feud with Nicki Minaj was mostly an invention of the show.
"I don't think they had any intention for us to have a good experience doing that show," said Mariah. "Pitting two females against each other wasn't cool. It should have been about the contestants instead of about some non-existant feud that turned into even more ridiculousness."
"I would never want to be involved with it again," she continued.
Mariah did not stop there, going on to call the long-running show "so boring and fake, I'm sorry."

Watching Your Wife Give Birth Could Kill Your Libido

According to an article on punchng.com :

To many women these days, childbirth is painful and the man’s presence in the labour room is like a reassurance that the couple are in it together. Some men also believe watching their wives delivered of their babies is aside being seen as emotional contributions and support, a proof of love.

However, as fashionable and contemporary as it is now, some medical experts have warned that men witnessing their wives having babies are more likely to have reduced sexual drive, also known as libido.

A French obstetrician, Dr. Michel Odent, said men should stay out of the delivery room so as to continue to have a healthy sex life with the woman. He explained that men have always seen the vagina as a sex organ and that they may find it uninteresting if the same organ is being used for non-sexual activity. Thus, staying away from the labour room would invariably help the man’s sexual life.

Meet The 14yr Old Malawian Drop-Out Who Changed History

William Kamkwamba (born August 5, 1987) is a Malawian innovator, engineer and author. He gained fame in his country when, in 2002, he built a windmill to power a few electrical appliances in his family's house in Masitala using blue gum trees, bicycle parts, and materials collected in a local scrapyard. Since then, he has built a solar-powered water pump that supplies the first drinking water in his village and two other windmills (the tallest standing at 39 feet) and is planning two more, including one in Lilongwe, the political capital of Malawi.

Life and career

was born in a family of relative poverty and relied primarily on farming to survive. According to his biography, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, his father had been a rough fighting man who changed after discovering the Christian God. A crippling famine forced Kamkwamba to drop out of school, and he was not able to return to school because his family was unable to afford the tuition fee. In a desperate attempt to retain his education, Kamkwamba began to frequently visit the library. It was at the local library where Kamkwamba discovered his true love for electronics. Before, he had once set up a small business repairing his village's radios, but his work with the radios had been cheap.
Kamkwamba, after some thought about a bicycle dynamo, his fondness for radios, and the wind levels at his home, decided to create a makeshift windmill. He experimented with a small model using a cheap dynamo and, using this experience, eventually made a functioning windmill that powered some electrical appliances in his family's house. Local farmers and journalists investigated the spinning device and Kamkwamba's fame in international news skyrocketed. A blog about his accomplishments was written on Hacktivate and Kamkwamba took part in the first event celebrating his particular type of ingenuity called Maker Faire Africa, in Ghana in August 2009.

International fame[edit]

His book, "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind," was selected as the 2013 "1 Book, 1 Community" title for Loudoun County, Virginia's Public Library system. "1book 1community is a countywide reading program that promotes community dialog and understanding through the shared experience of reading and discussing the same book." Copies of the book were purchased from the A.V. Symington and Irwin Uran Gift Funds.[12][13]When The Daily Times in Blantyre, the commercial capital, wrote a story on Kamkwamba's windmills in November 2006,[3] the story circulated through the blogosphere,[4] and TED conference director Emeka Okafor invited Kamkwamba to talk at TEDGlobal 2007 inArushaTanzania as a guest.[5] His speech moved the audience, and several venture capitalists at the conference pledged to help finance his secondary education. His story was covered by Sarah Childress for The Wall Street Journal.[6] He became a student at African Bible College Christian Academy in Lilongwe. He then went on to receive a scholarship to the African Leadership Academy and in 2014 graduated from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, where he was tapped and inducted as a member of the Sphinx Senior Society - the oldest all-male secret society in the United States- where Bill Clinton was an honorary member and close mentor to Kamkwamba.[7] Among other appearances, Kamkwamba was interviewed on The Daily Show on 7 October 2009 (during which he was playfully compared to the fictional hero Angus MacGyver for his impressive scientific ingenuity)[8] and by social news website Reddit.[9][10]In addition, he was invited to and attended the 2011 Google Science Fair introductory meeting, where he was a guest speaker.[11]
William is the subject of the documentary film William and the Windmill, which won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary Feature[14] at the 2013 South By Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas.
In 2013 Time Magazine named William one of the "30 People Under 30 Changing The World.[15]"
In 2014, "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind" was selected as the Auburn University and University of Michigan College of Engineering common book, required for all incoming students to read. William made an appearance at each university to discuss his book and life.
In 2014, William Kamkwamba received his 4 year degree at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire where he was a student.

N2.45bn Fraud: EFCC Re-Arraigns Ex-Bayelsa Gov, Sylva

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday, May 18, 2015 re-arraigned a former governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva before Justice E. S Chukwu of the Federal High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja on a six count charge of fraud to the tune of N2.45bn (two billion, and forty five million naira).
Sylva allegedly converted N2bn (two billion naira) worth of properties and resources belonging to Bayelsa State between 2009 and 2010, during his tenure as governor of the State, an offence punishable by the Money Laundering Act.
He was also alleged to have induced Union Bank Plc to grant him an overdraft facility of N2bn on the pretext of using the money to augment workers’ salary.
It will be recalled that, the former governor also has similar charges pending against him before Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the Federal High Court, Abuja .
Sylva had earlier pleaded not guilty to the charge when he was first arraigned for the offences before Justice Adamu Bello (retd.) on June 5, 2012.
The matter had to start de novo (afresh) following the retirement of Justice Bello, a development which prompted Sylva’s re-arraignment before Justice Chukwu on Monday.
Upon his plea, Sylva’s counsel, Israel Olorundare, SAN, through an oral application sought bail for the former governor.
The prosecuting counsel, Festus Keyamo, represented by John Ainetor, did not oppose the bail application.
Ainetor, however, asked the judge to grant Sylva bail in terms that would ensure that, the accused is always in court to stand his trial.
Justice Chukwu, subsequently, admitted Sylva to bail on conditions and terms previously granted by the former trial judge.
The case has been adjourned to May 25, 2015 for commencement of trial.
