Four Men Arrested For Stealing Cocoa In Osun

Four men-  Joseph Oyedeji, 40; Ismaila Umoru, 45; Abiodun Oguntoyinbo, 28; and Wasiu Oguntoyinbo, 25- have been arrested for stealing sacks of cocoa from Star-Link Global and Ideal Ltd, Orona street, Modakeke. The act was allegedly carried out around 5:30am on Dec. 25.

The accused allegedly stole 603 cocoa sacks valued at N102,510 and sold them to unsuspecting customers.


The Magistrate, Mrs. Bosun Awosan adjourned the case to January 4, 2016 for hearing and granted each of the accused bail in the sum of N50, 000 with two sureties each in like sum.

Stealing does not take away poverty. They are accused of stealing N102,510 but the four men got a bail of N200,000- which is higher than what they allegedly stole. And they still have a case to answer.
