Tears flowed freely from the eyes of sympathizers in Ajegunle area of Lagos State on Wednesday night when a truck conveying container crushed a woman and her husband to death.
An eye witness, Ibrahim Adekoya told LEADERSHIP Friday that the vehicle’s brake failed while the driver lost control and it crushed the couple.
The accident, which occurred at Mba Street, attracted many people who wept at the scene.
Adekoya blamed the problem on traffic gridlock at Apapa which made drivers of long vehicles to ply the route enroute Apapa.
The corpses of the victims were said to have been moved to a general hospital mortuary.
