Dr Bola Ogunbiyi, President, Nigerian Association of Dermatology(shown above), has advised Nigerians against the use of skin lightening cream popularly known as ‘toning cream’, saying it is harmful to our health.Ogunbiyi gave the advice in an interview with NAN in Abuja on Monday. She said that the application of such creams to the skin has adverse effect on the internal organs.She explained that whenever such cream was applied on the skin it is absorbed into the body damaging the internal organs like the pancreas and adrenal, among others.

The police in Kwara State on Monday said a robbery suspect, Mr. Danie Usman, confessed that he stole a Hyundai jeep belonging to his boss, simply identified as Xans, to punish him for cheating him.

There was confusion on the 7th Avenue in the FESTAC Town area of Lagos on Wednesday after policemen raided commercial motorcycle riders (okada riders) in the area and impounded no fewer than 100 motorcycles.
