A BABY girl has died after being thrown from a sixth-story window moments after witnesses heard her mother screaming "we're all going to die".
Mother Tenisha Fearon, 27 (above), reportedly dangled the infant from her flat moments before she plunged to her death in what police described as a "psychotic episode".
The six-month-old was found unconscious and unresponsive on the concrete pavement below the block of flats in the Bronx, New York, but later died in hospital.
Detective Brian Sessa, spokesman for the New York Police Department, said she had not been charged.
He added: "The baby was sent out the window not by her own regard."
The grandmother of Fearon reportedly heard her saying "the devil is in her" as police escorted her away from the scene, the New York Daily News reported.
Lizette Rodriguez, 48, who lives three floors below Fearon, witnessed the horrifying ordeal and recalled hearing a "thump" as she called the police.
She said: "She was saying, 'Hallelujah, praise God, we're all going to die'. She was arguing with herself.
"I heard the thump when I was on the phone with 911. And I gasped, 'Oh my God'."
Officers responded to a 911 call at around 2pm local time.
Fearon's other children - a boy, 10, and two girls, aged eight and four — are being looked after by New York City's child welfare agency.
This latest incident marks the third such tragedy in the area in just three months.
Last month of a newborn baby girl was tossed from the seventh-story window of a another Bronx building.
Her mother was arrested for murder.
One month earlier a baby boy was hurled out a fourth floor window of a Queens apartment building and his mother was arrested.
