Indian Got Death Sentence For Raping A Girl And Setting Her Ablaze

A court in India has sentenced Chandrabhan Sanap to death for raping and killing a young software engineer, Esther Anuhya (above).

Sanap had offered Anuhya a lift to her hostel in 2014 on his motorbike. The victim however noticed that Sanap wasn't going through the right route and decided to protest. He got angry and assaulted her severally before raping her repeatedly in the bushes off Eastern Express Highway in Bhandup. He later discovered the victim had died from the assaults and at that moment decided to set her ablaze with petrol. See Sanap picture after the cut.....

“He shall be hanged by his neck till death,” the Judge said. 

Apart from the death penalty, he is expected to pay Rs. 50,000 to the victim's family.
