The Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson has indirectly put the death of the former governor of the state, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, on harassment from the UK authorities and Nigerian government.
Family sources who spoke with Premium Times had said that the former governor’s health suddenly deteriorated after the U.K. government requested his extradition to face charges years after Mr. Alamieyeseigha jumped bail and left London where he was arrested over alleged corruption.
The deceased also went to Dubai for treatment but had to run back to Nigeria to prevent his arrest. The ways Nigerians have reacted to the cause of his death is hilarious. See some comments after the cut..........
I forgot to add that he was taken to University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, where he later died.
