Buhari Orders The Sale Of Nine Presidential Jets

As part of his cost cutting strategies, the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the disposal of nine presidential jets.

The Nigerian presidential fleet is one of the largest in Africa and probably the world at large. Insider sources say it cost close to N12 Billion ( Approximately $60 Million) to maintain the fleet annually.

Each of the nine jets is said to cost about N20 Billion (About $100 Million).



Nigeria is presently undergoing economic downturn and some of her civic servants in areas like Osun State have not been paid for close to seven months. The ex-minister of finance, Dr. Okonjo Iweala in the past few months claim the economy is in a good shape.

Nigeria youths have taken to social media to thank the new president, Buhari, for keeping his promise to reduce wastage in the system.
