At Royal Ascot yesterday Princess Anne went back 35 years – and it still fits.

Anne took her penchant for recycling to new heights after wearing the dress and matching coat to the most glamorous fashion week in the summer season. At 64, the Princess Royal thrives on her reputation for thriftiness despite her role in the public eye.

But the latest appearance of the mustard outfi t may have broken even her record for longevity. She was first spotted wearing it at Trooping the Colour in 1980 and gave it another outing at the Epsom Derby in 1983.
