Police Stops Another Bank Robbery In Warri

An unnamed bank in Udu Road, Warri, Delta State was under attack on Tuesday by a group of young hoodlums.

The whole problem started when a bullion van conveying money to the bank was held in a traffic jam, and the driver decided to drive against the traffic. While trying to avoid collisions with the
bullion van, a tipper rammed into a pregnant woman, crushing her legs.

That got the youth around the area angry. They attacked the van and the bank. Some hoodlums tried to take advantage of the situation. They wanted to rob the bank.

The robbery was prevented by the swift arrival of policemen of Warri B Division led by the DPO Mr. Anietie Eyoh.

According to Punch, about 17 hoodlums were arrested from the incident.

The crushed pregnant woman is said to be responding well to treatment.
